All about Kaziranga National Park

April 1, 2025April 1, 2025

Kaziranga National park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is the largest national park among 8 in Assam and is one of the biggest tourist attraction for tourist visiting the North east and host the Great Indian one horned rhinos. It has the largest population of the species in the world. It is situated in an area spanning across 4 districts of the state. The park is home to large populations of elephants, wild buffalo, and swamp deer.

My trip to Kaziranga was full of thrill and excitement. it was a 2 day trip. There are guided jungle trek that normally takes half of your day. You can take a Jeep safari which can accommodate 5-6 pax. It is very comfortable and thrilling. However if you want to experience the best part of the park, an Elephant safari is recommended. It takes you to areas where a 4 wheeler cannot enter and it helps you experience Rhino sightings and other beautiful view of the jungle in a better way.

Kaziranga has a huge options of fooding and lodging in camps along the route. There’s plenty of challenge, but the local guides are very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.
