My State Assam, is indeed a paradise on earth. It is the land of majestic one horned rhinos, beautiful tea gardens, unique cultures and traditions, and a plethora of beautiful tourist places that puts the state at the top of the tourism map of the world.

Home to one of the World’s Largest River, Brahmaputra, it is bordered by the state Arunachal Pradesh to the east and China, Nagaland to the south, and Bhutan to the south-west; Assam is the largest of the north eastern states. The state is famous for its huge and stunning tea gardens, and some of the finest teas consumed in the world are produced here including India’s most expensive. It has Kaziranga National Park a world heritage site famous for fauna and one-horned rhinoceros.
The Assamese people have an extraordinary passion for celebrating Bihu, their harvest festival that signifies the change of seasons, and which comes complete with traditional dancing, music, and cuisine. Assam’s culture is also boosted by the silk sector which is also producer of Muga and Eri silk specially produced in Sualkuchi area which is a huge chunk of the economy.
